about
Dodecagon is an album that takes the listener on a journey through layered soundscapes, blending Philip Glass’s minimalist repetition with Arturo Stalteri’s expressive piano. The title refers to a twelve-sided geometric shape, mirroring the album’s evolving structure.

creative thinking
To fully immerse myself in the project, I listened to the album so often that its sounds lingered in my mind, even when it wasn’t playing. Each layer unfolds like a step in the journey, revealing hidden contrasts between darkness and brightness, reinforcing the album’s depth and movement.

poster design decisions
The lights in the tunnel served as the inspiration for the design treatment, which I edited to reflect the layered light and color that mirrors the emotions in the music. Warm tones like orange and light blue symbolize joy, while darker reds and blues evoke moments of hardship. These colors are contained within the bold sans-serif letters spelling out Dodecagon, reinforcing how the album embodies the emotional journey of the music.

key takeaway
Visuals have the power to deeply capture the essence of music, giving the album a representation that truly reflects its emotional journey and purpose.
